Andrew Lindsay is Animation Director at Lionhead Studios, the studio behind the enchanting, engrossing and award-winning adventure role-playing game Fable. Lionhead and Peter Molyneux also developed the recently released, and much talked about, sequel Fable II.

At a studio like Lionhead, everything they do artistically, depends entirely upon
the technology they are building for the game. The following questions, and more, were answered by their Animation Director Andrew Lindsay:

  • How do artists and animators work within the parameters set by the tech, do those parameters restrict or inspire us?
  • What implications does ‘playability’ have for the things we create?
  • Can the balance between the two (tech and art) be managed in favour of the art?
  • Andrew also looked at how the team at Lionhead go about developing a 'combat system' like the one in Fable II.

Booking for this event is now closed.
Visit the events section for up to date events information.
